I really enjoyed reading about your sister! I work at a respite/residential care facility for children with disabilities and complex medical needs (almost all of them have CP, many have some sort of developmental delay, seizure disorders etc). Being around these kids really helps to put everything in perspective and I feel so lucky just to have them in my life. They are such amazing kids.
It’s enough to make you go, “Man, I should probably stop bitching.”
